Re: what adjustments should I be making?
Curtis, I am so sorry. You've plainly said your vet can't get Tylan. I'm a bit bumbly these days. Hope you can get Lucy straightened out soon.---Pam

Re: Progress slowing - Thoughts?
Michele---This page has the correct dosage of tylan according to your dog's weight. https://epi4dogs.com/antibiotics/ Somehow the link isn't showing up. Go to Managing EPI/SID-SIBO/SID Antibiotics I don't know how to convert mg to teaspoons. Some EPI dogs don't do well on poultry, and even though it...

Re: what adjustments should I be making?
Hey! Call your vet & see if they will switch the metronidazole to Tylan. Metro can have bad after effects, and Tylan only kills the bad stuff. I was going to suggest the problem is SID, and Tylan is the correct med for that. You will need a 45 day course, with enough to slowly wean her off it. D...

Re: Prayers for Tucker
I asked about fenbendazole on a GSD forum and the reaction was so strong I left the group. Whoa....I did buy a lot of Panacur, but it doesn't seem feasible. That chemical is all about busting up tumors, and Tuck has cancer of the blood vessels. When it forms a tumor, it's been in the organ. We know ...

Re: New EPI Dog Mom
The idea of bloat is terrifying. From what I've read, there are a few steps you can take to help reduce the risk. Not drinking too much water with a meal, not scarfing it down, and not exercising before or after eating, are a few that I remember. I thought Tucker had it a few months ago because he w...

Re: New EPI Dog Mom
Trudy---I am so sorry I never followed up with some of your questions. It's the start of school, so lesson plans, classroom set-up, grandkids, and issues with my Tucker have distracted me lately. Kibbles that are recommended, and I have fed them successfully are Sport Dog Elite for herding dogs, and...

Re: Possibly EPI ?
Hi June. I don't think we've met. Since it's the weekend, I just want to make sure you get a response EVEN though I have no experience with Oxycare antibiotic. My Tucker takes Tylan to control his SID, as do many dogs on the forum. When a 30 day course is given, there is a weaning process that must ...
