This is a good idea, Jean. I recently found out that a plant I had in the sunroom was in the Lily family, which is also toxic to dogs. There are so many varieties of Lily plants inside and out.

Re: Awaiting Test Results
Hi Mike. You have one handsome boy there. He's also very tolerant of dressing up. After following Olesia's and Pam's suggestions, you might also want to start a log/journal or notebook. Someone suggested it to us when our Kolby was diagnosed many years ago and it saved our sanity (for the most part!...

Re: Aksel - loss of appetite and weight loss
Hello. So sorry you and Aksel are going through this. I was wondering if there is the possibility of moving up his vet visit. Sometimes we are so used to managing EPI that we and our vets see everything through that lens. Perhaps there is something else going on that needs attention as Patsy and Ole...

Re: Newly diagnosed Shiloh shepherd
Hi Amber. A warm welcome to you and Eva. She is beautiful. Sometimes vets have not had a lot of experience with EPI and are not familiar with the dosage. My vet had only had one case of EPI in 30 years when we took Kolby to him. He prescribed twice as many enzymes that were needed, thinking less is ...

Re: Slippery elm not cuttin' it
Hi Kim. Yes, when Kolby was with us, I just assumed that Slippery Elm would help and was shocked when it didn't. I thought I was doing something wrong, but when I found out that it doesn't work for all dogs, I was disappointed, but at least I could stop feeling guilty.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Kaia. She touched hearts even during her very short time here. Thank you, Jean for following up with updates. We will keep Kaia and those who loved her in our hearts.
