Re: Long-Term Tylan use

My main issue that I am not sure about is that I can taper her completely off the Tylan with normal stools. She is ok for about 6-8 weeks; then, symptoms all start to slowly come back. I have slippery elm but she is so sensitive that I really don't want to introduce anything else. She still is not o...

Long-Term Tylan use

Paige has never needed Tylan prior to July 2018. She had a bad episode of Pancreatitis which was probably brewing for awhile. During that tx, she needed Tylan for the first time to normalize her stools. Her stools have been 100% normal since starting on enzymes at 9 months of age. She will be 8 yo i...

Re: Enzyme Diane Ice Pack?

Hi, I am in Tucson, AZ. I try hard to make sure I have enough enzymes to make it thru June, July and August. I have had to order when our outside temp is >100 degrees. I do get the ice pack. AND....my neighbor gets the package for me and takes it into her home until I get home from work. So far that...

Re: Confusing blood test

I use Balance IT as well but they haven't been able to keep the Potato mix-in in stock so, we had to try something different. She does get the BalanceIT vitamin powder with each meal. I would agree with your vet. My Dane needed the enzymes before she ever had Pancreatitis. Now, we just keep her on a...

Re: Confusing blood test

Hi, Not sure if this helps but my Dane has had normal TLIs all of her life, low folate and low normal B12. More recently we are thinking that is due to high cPL. Even now (age 7 years), as she is doing well, her cPL hovers in the high normal range and the TLI is still in the normal range. When we do...

Olesia,

Thank you so much for the email alert. I would not have seen this on the forum. I just ordered 3 bottles for my Dane and saved a bunch.

Re: How do your dogs react when eating food with enzymes?

My Dane girl has no issues with the enzymes. When she is healthy and has an appetite she eats what's in the bowl. When she has SID or pancreatitis her appetite is diminished. No issues here.

Re: Decreased water intake- is this okay?

Welcome. It is not usual for dogs to stop drinking. However, living in Southern Arizona, I would think my dogs would drink more water. When we moved here, I started to add water to their food and they really don't drink that much. My Dane with malabsorbtion who is on enzymes, really doesn't drink to...
