Re: Newly Diagnosed Corgi w/EPI - Suggestions?
Sorry to hear she is struggling so. I agree with Jill, take a little stool sample in just to be on the safe side that she didn't get anything else. We tend to blame everything on EPI, but sometimes problems have other causes. If you changed nothing else, I would have to suspect the new food for sure...

Re: Sassy says HI and Thank You!!!
Richard My girl was free fed before EPI as well. As she was spiraling down with her EPI symptoms, she was eating more and more, but it took us a while before we figured it out. There were several people in the house topping off her bowl as needed. Before the onset, she never overate so we never had ...

Re: New to EPI and surviving thanks to this forum
I am so happy you found us and your pup is doing well as a result. So many vets are uninformed about EPI, it is part of Epi4Dog's mission to educate....not just helping owners of EPI pets, but the professional community as well. Some of our staff are going to the AVMA convention this Summer to do ex...

Re: new here, talking about my dog
Hi and welcome to the forum How are your dog's poops? That a how you can really tell how things are going with your dog. If the poops are good, not runny or frequent then your pup is probably doing well. As far as the weight goes, some dogs take a bit of time to regain their weight. If he is no long...

Re: New Here - Need some advice
Hi and welcome to the forum EPI is totally manageable, we can help you get there. First a few questions.... Do you know the test numbers? For both the TLI and B12? What type of enzymes are you using, how are you preparing? What type of food are you feeding? There are 4 cornerstones to managing EPI: ...

Re: After 4 years, can not get poop regulated again
Good call Ann, I totally forgot about that as a possibility. I too had to tweak my girl's enzymes up a bit after she turned 8 due to return of symptoms. Now all is well again.

Re: Reflux
Some people also find long stretches between meals cause trouble, so if it's happening in the stretch between dinner and breakfast the next day, some give a little "snack" before bed.

Re: Sassy says HI and Thank You!!!
It might take her a little while for her ravenous behavior to subside. Her body is healing--long before you knew she had EPI, it was slowly happening. So it has been going on for a while, her body not getting the nutrients she needs. And it also depends on the dog, some are just more food driven tha...
