So sorry for your loss . Yes some dogs get stressed when they loose their pals they also can pick up on your grief we lost Otto when Maddie was 5 years into EPI i really had to work hard to be up beat as it didn't want my sorrow to affect her i had already experienced how devastating it was for one ...

Yes Maddie eventually started to show reluctance to eat her 3rd meal cant remember the time period but once she was back to her goal weight i gradually started to reduce the amount in her midday feed by half a cup per week so i tapered it down gradually i didn't want an overweight dog.

Hi Marliyn its hard to determine a dose in dog food compared to a tsp dose you could try and add some salmon oil but as with all epi things go slowly the other option would be coconut oil that skin being dark may indicate as others have said another problem may be worth discussing with your vet.

Hi Richard
As my earlier post eluded to try and keep things simple my Gal didn't do well with Salmon oil we just kept it simple food enzymes and B12 ( by the way you are giving alot of b12 most of us did 2 then down to 1 )

Hello can you tell us a little bit more it may not be the food but something else that is missing? For food we recommend below 4 % fibre we suggest grain free but do not restrict the fat and also you will need to feed 150% of the food ie with my gal i would have needed to use 6 cups of food per day ...

So sorry you had to go through this and what a day you had rushing from vet to vet but glad your furbaby is recovering , EPI dogs are more prone to this thank you for sharing your story.
