To answer your question.... larger and/or looser stools mean food is not agreeing as well as expected. More frequency may (or may not) also indicate this problem. What you can try also.... just to see... is add a tsp of canned pumpkin or look on the slipper elm page.... add some slippery elm powder....

hmmmmmmmmmmmm........ what i am going to say is NOT scientific... jsut an observation of a possibility..... Actually the short answer is yes..... sometimes you can use a wee bit less enzymes or might need a wee bit more enzymes and we suspect it has to to with the composition of the ingredients of the food. I found that when i used to switch food around with my Izzy.... it wasn't so much the calories, but...

I do remember one lady years ago who was extremely sensitive and really did have problems breathing when she was handling the enzymes preparing her dog's meal.... she ended up wearing a mask while doing this and then she was fine. In general i don't think it is a problem with most people.... BUT.......

Sorry it took me forever to find the research that suggests that Sucralfate for dogs, and specifically for ulcers in dogs, although a good drug, is not as good as they thought to use for dogs....problem is a lot of science was based on humans taking Sucralfate.... but dogs' body's process it slightl...
