Re: Sassy says HI and Thank You!!!

Richard, When you go back for bloodwork, what are you having tested? B12 is a good one to repeat, but don't pay for another TLI. There isn't a reason to repeat that unless the numbers were borderline at first testing and you are tracking to see if the trend is going down. Once confirmed EPI, no reas...

Re: Nova and me new to EPI and this forum

Hi and welcome to the forum! We have all been where you are, scared and worried. But EPI is totally manageable! We are here to help you! You have already been given good advice, I wanted to jump in and also welcome you. You asked if the poops would be better by now if the correct dose of enzymes wer...

Re: Pup-date on Uma (and a question about calories)

Wow she's beautiful! Thank you for opening your home and heart to an older girl. How special <3 I don't know how to tell you to calculate, but maybe you could track her weight and make sure she isn't losing, if she maintains her goal weight even with all the running around then I would suspect you a...

Re: Sassy says HI and Thank You!!!

Whoop Whoop! Glad things are going so well. It's hard to get a dog that isn't food driven to eat sometimes. My EPI girl is not food driven at all....so frustrating. If nothing else is wrong with your boy, maybe he just doesn't need as much food. My Riley does not eat breakfast. Won't touch it anymore.

Re: Diagnosis 72 hours ago - jack Russell X

Good update, sounds like things are moving in the right direction. You sound like you are still having some ups and downs in the poop department, which could be the adjustment to new food or could need more antibiotics. It's a watch and see thing. So keep careful notes, that way you can track things...

Re: Brittle Nails

I throw my B12 in as the enzymes incubate and so far no problems with this method. I'm not sure about the other vitamins as I haven't tried them.

Re: Sassy says HI and Thank You!!!

I'm in agreement, it might be time to taper down to regular amounts of food instead of the 150%.
Good job!

Re: Diagnosis 72 hours ago - jack Russell X

Welcome to the forum, so glad you found us. Ahhh, the dreaded anal leakage. We had that before diagnosis. Along with all the other symptoms you described. I had been to the vet several times, but the anal leakage is what sent me back in desperation. I was lucky, my vet tested for EPI at that point. ...

Re: B12 Preparation for Boarding

I sprinkle the B12 as well, and I do it and let it incubate just as you are describing. I haven't had any trouble doing it that way, and my girl has been stable for years now. I think when you have to leave your pup in someone else's care it is easier to have it all prepackaged that way. Then there ...
