Re: Pancreatitis cleared now, I think she really has EPI
Paige is doing really well and has a great appetite. She is still eating the Tylan in the cold pumpkin. I am so happy since she is such a picky dog. She is running around the dog park and digging craters in the back yard. Digging is one of the only things that really gets her super happy so, I never...

Re: Calcium/Phosphorus content for puppy
Madelon, That is great information. I remember also reading about growing a Great Dane to always be able to see the very last rib. And, to keep the protein at no greater than 24% but now, we do have foods with proteins from all kinds of sources. I wonder if this info is now moving thru the other lar...

Re: Calcium/Phosphorus content for puppy
Just an FYI. I have a Great Dane. My first Dane actually and got her from a rescue at 9 weeks old. Everyone said absolutely NO puppy food. Especially, NO large breed puppy food. Well, you can imagine my confusion. I asked the vet that the rescue ladies recommended, he said do exactly what the rescue...

Re: Pancreatitis cleared now, I think she really has EPI
guess what???? She ate the tylan in the cold pumpkin...no problem at all...... AND, she now has completely normal poop this morning. It happened that fast. So, only slight downside is that I don't think the Tylan will last 45 days which means I have to contact the vet and not have a poor stool sampl...

Re: Pancreatitis cleared now, I think she really has EPI
Again, this morning yellowish/orange and green poop not really formed (#4 on poop chart) covered with mucous. She is not going frequently or having any urgency issues. Activity level and appetite are good. Appetite might be a little more than her usual. I upped her enzymes this morning and will add ...

Pancreatitis cleared now, I think she really has EPI
My great Dane, Paige, has had malabsorption since she was a puppy. She is 7 years old and has been on Diane's enzymes for over 5 years or so. No issues until 2 months ago, another episode of Pancreatitis, cPL >600. We did a TLI but that was not smart since it came back high and is not accurate in li...

Can I refrigerate uneaten food with enzymes?
My Dane, Paige is recovering from Pancreatitis. It's been 3 weeks now and she still doesn't have the best appetite. Right now, my labs are helping with the uneaten food but they are a few pounds overweight. I was wondering about putting the uneaten food in the refrigerator and then warming it up for...

Re: Heat stroke in dogs
No AC. Wow. I couldn't do that in Arizona. Well, we do have cases of dogs in cars and those taken on hikes with not so smart owners.... We have a state law here stating you cannot leave your dog in a car EVER at anytime of the year. And, now, the law protects anyone that breaks the car window to get...
