Yes, all the pills/tablets need to be crushed. ... and actually, i personally would consider even upping the amount of tablets from 3 to 4 tablets per 2 cups of food...

Today after his lunch Louie has his first non-liquid poo in 5+ weeks, it actually came out in pieces and didn't look like an open faucet; never did I think I'd feel encouragement from a dog turd ;)

He has had 2 more this evening that were like soft-serve ice cream this evening, but it was nice to see something different after so long of liquid.

He has had a lot of change in his medicine regiment since Thursday, and we know it will take considerable time, trials, and a lot of patience, but we are extremely thankful for all the help and support for the Epi4Dog community in just this short time.

Hi, Jackie. Lots of us experience the early morning poo being the best of the day, and the later on ones getting softer. No idea why, but that's the way it is at our house. Say, have you heard about Enzyme Diane? If I've missed something here, I apologize, but if not, you should check out her website. ---Pam
Tucker was a shepherd/lab mix--- TLI 1.3, Folate 9.7, Cobalamin 666, Lipase 38. Took Diane's Enzymes 4 teaspoons/day, Wonderlabs B12 one capsule per day, and Tylan 1/16 teaspoon/ morning (to hold SID at bay). Taste of the Wild High Prairie, 1 1/2 cups/day, with a total of 4 cups of Fresh Pet. Stopped eating everything in sight, and went from 60 to 85 pounds! Tucker was my boyfriend, and my husband was OK with that. Tucker succumbed to hemangiosarcoma, but we cherished every day we had with that wonderful, beautiful boy. I will always, always miss my sweet big boy.

Great news! Louie is really firming up, I know we will have some back and forth but actual logs that could be picked up!

We added the third tablet Saturday evening and he's been getting 3, 3 times a day, and are looking forward to getting the correct B-12 supplement and powdered enzymes in the mail this week.

We will be getting future enzymes from EnzymeDiane, an earlier post had said we should get 6x, how do people know which one to get?

Thank you!

the reason why we recommend 6x is because that is the one that is most closely aligned to the brand name enzymes that the vets sell..... AND it is the easier one to calculate how much to give....the dosing ratio to begin with is 1 level tsp of 6x per 1 cup of food (if kibble) or 1/2 to 3/4 tsp of 6x per 1 cup of wet food..... this is where you start... some people eventually have to use a little less or more when starting.... but this is the beginning recommendation.

The other enzyme from enzyme diane is 8x which is stronger so you use less per cup of food.....(good for big dogs where you have to feed a lot of food) but for most of us, we like the 6x cause it is easier on our math skills :)

Louie is fully on his new LDI diet, powdered enzymes and the new B12 came last night.

His poops range from firm long to soft serve, with no real pattern as to help us expect what is coining at what time of day.

I don't know if it is because of the food or all the supplements but he has no interest in eating his poop anymore, at least his new poop when walking in the field he still likes to hunt for and try to eat the old stuff (when we adopted him at 9 months old this was a habit the foster mom nor we could not break him from and we had tried everything before)

Thank you
