Hello Olesia711,

I am going to send my vet an email shortly. As an FYI, we stopped giving her metro over a month ago when we realized it was not working. That is when all the testing first started for EPI. They did check her kidneys and all the BW and urine came back within ranges. The only level elevated was her eosinophils which confirmed the chicken allergy.

The testing for B12. Our vet wants another baseline but did mention she would need to be tested again after the 6 weeks plus 1 month then right before next dose. I should have mentioned that but again being so new to this I am forgetting much.

Enzymes, she is getting 1 level tsp of PancreVed powder per cup of food (1 cup + 1/8cup actually) and I dampen it with water which I now use warm water since this morning. Wait at least 20 minutes and place on a flat plate. I actually had some Zignature Lamb dry no grain food I am trying it with as she needs to eat. She licked a few kibble and spit it out. I sprinkled some parmesan cheese on it. Licked the cheese off and spit it out. I put that 2oz can of Purina Beneful Medley topper on and she ate the whole thing.

You and Jane mentioned other foods. I am going to look into them and speak to the vet on this as well.

EDITED TO ADD: My vet wont go for the Sport Dog as there are multiple proteins. We need a single Protein as we are still weeding out possible food allergies besides winged proteins.

We're all pulling for Piper, Shawn. You are lucky to have such a great, open-minded vet. Please keep us posted!
Tucker was a shepherd/lab mix--- TLI 1.3, Folate 9.7, Cobalamin 666, Lipase 38. Took Diane's Enzymes 4 teaspoons/day, Wonderlabs B12 one capsule per day, and Tylan 1/16 teaspoon/ morning (to hold SID at bay). Taste of the Wild High Prairie, 1 1/2 cups/day, with a total of 4 cups of Fresh Pet. Stopped eating everything in sight, and went from 60 to 85 pounds! Tucker was my boyfriend, and my husband was OK with that. Tucker succumbed to hemangiosarcoma, but we cherished every day we had with that wonderful, beautiful boy. I will always, always miss my sweet big boy.

I received copies of Piper's labs. It shows B12 low and also indicates the cTLI is consistent with EPI.

I brought up the Tylan. She is hesitant on using it now as Piper's stool is fine. Her belly does not gurgle every night, she is eating and acting ok. While it is possible SIBO, right now she is more inclined to lean towards concurrent inflammatory process.

Thanks. The Tli, folate and B12. You could also post it in your signature so folks can look at a glance and help.

Here is just a portion of her labs so you can see the cTLI, Folate and B-12. If you need others let me know. I did place it in my signature as well :)
