Update: Scottie has been doing SO well the past few days, we're pinching ourselves! We changed two things: 1) giving her slippery elm with dinner. 2) feeding her 1-2 hours earlier in the morning before we take her out.
For the first time since we got her, she's eating all her food. And she's overall happier and calmer! So so happy. Can't thank you enough for your help.
Question- if Slippery Elm works, is there any reason to also get her on Tylosin? Or is SID only an issue if there are symptoms?

Here's a photo of her next to her almost empty dinner bowl :)

That's such great news! If the slippery elm is working, there's no need for the Tylan. The goal is to keep the symptoms under control, and it sounds like your current routine is working.

Such good news! Scottie is a real cutie-pie. Yep, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. You try the slippery elm first, and if that doesn't work you try Tylan. Good for you, it is working!!!! YEA!---Pam & Tucker
Tucker was a shepherd/lab mix--- TLI 1.3, Folate 9.7, Cobalamin 666, Lipase 38. Took Diane's Enzymes 4 teaspoons/day, Wonderlabs B12 one capsule per day, and Tylan 1/16 teaspoon/ morning (to hold SID at bay). Taste of the Wild High Prairie, 1 1/2 cups/day, with a total of 4 cups of Fresh Pet. Stopped eating everything in sight, and went from 60 to 85 pounds! Tucker was my boyfriend, and my husband was OK with that. Tucker succumbed to hemangiosarcoma, but we cherished every day we had with that wonderful, beautiful boy. I will always, always miss my sweet big boy.

So glad to hear things are going so well! If you are not seeing any symptoms of SID then there's no reason to try the Tylan. IF you start to see symptoms again then I would try adding slippery elm to the morning meal as well - it sounds like you are only giving it in the evening which is fine if that's what works.
