Re: Newly diagnosed dog in distress
Hi Brain,
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooo glad to hear that she is back to her ol' self 100% !!! Great news but..... i just read thru all your posts (i have not been on line for quite a few days due to the fact that we got a new puppy and i forgot how much work it is!)..... ANYWAY.... it sure is weird whatever was going on with Lucy. Sounded scary to me.....glad you brought her to the vets..... but even the maybe "suggested" gastroenteritis doesn't seem to fit either. Hope this was only a one time weird event and never happens again. Looking forward to hearing happy active Lucy shenanigans going forward.

Olesia, was owned by Izzy, a 35lb Spanish Water Dog (SWD), Diagnosed at 1.5 years old - TLI results 1.. Izzy passed away on February 13, 2020 at 15 years old. She lived with EPI for 13+1/2 years. It was because of Izzy that Epi4Dogs was started... she was the inspiration. May her legacy of helping others with EPI continue for as long as needed.........

Wow! That's wonderful news! I hadn't commented earlier because I didn't feel that I had anything useful to add, but I've been following your story. I'm so glad Lucy is doing so much better!

YEA Lucy!!!!
Tucker was a shepherd/lab mix--- TLI 1.3, Folate 9.7, Cobalamin 666, Lipase 38. Took Diane's Enzymes 4 teaspoons/day, Wonderlabs B12 one capsule per day, and Tylan 1/16 teaspoon/ morning (to hold SID at bay). Taste of the Wild High Prairie, 1 1/2 cups/day, with a total of 4 cups of Fresh Pet. Stopped eating everything in sight, and went from 60 to 85 pounds! Tucker was my boyfriend, and my husband was OK with that. Tucker succumbed to hemangiosarcoma, but we cherished every day we had with that wonderful, beautiful boy. I will always, always miss my sweet big boy.

Brian,
I am so glad to read this! You must be relieved to have her back, although I am sure you would love to have some more information about what caused this strange episode. Sometimes it is better to just accept the gift.
Let us know how she does.

Here is Lucy at the beach this morning. We tried to get her to take it easy, but she was just too excited!
