How many meals do you feed per day? If you break the meals into 3 per day or even 4 it might help the pain. You might be feeding too much per meal and this causes discomfort.

Mickey used a small dose of both tramadol and gabapentin that worked. Not enough to make him drowsy.
My name is Jill and we live on the Hood Canal in Washington State. We currently have 2 Jack russells, TJ is 8 and Sadie is 2.

Mickey and his pancreatitis brought me to Epi4dogs.com site in 2012 to help manage it.
He lived from 6/99 - 8/2014

Mickey, Jack Russell. Chronic Pancreatitis. Dianes enzymes, 1/8t 3x/day with meals.

Patsy gave a grat suggestion regarding getting the oral B12 from Chemeyes, LLC in the UK .

Cameron & Suj at CHemeyes are wonderful people to work with and Wonderlabs and them got together so that they could create the same oral B12 product that could be available in the UK that we get from Wonderlabs in the USA....to treat our EPI dogs with low b12.

Please share with your vet the B12 protocol page here as it explains why we are comfortable recommending this product (just know that Wonderlabs (USA) Pet Factor B12 and the CHemeyes (UK) oral B12 is virtually the same product :).

Also... i am so so sorry your pup is dealing with so much.... the SLippery Elm is also a great suggestion if your vet agrees. It is a great mucilage that has wonderful gentle prebiotic properties.... The only adverse affect with Slippery ELm is if the dog has an Elm Tree allergy... or if you give too much... as it has short chain fatty acids in it.... and this is what combats SID..but too much will in turn give loose stools, so you never want to give too much of this elm tree powder.

My vet prescribed Sucralfate (soother) for my dog when we were battling stomach bleeds from high dose drugs trying to fight IMHA.... well..... long story short, i had to stop the Sucralfate and put my dog on Slippery ELm which worked much better without any side effects.

Last week research just came out stating that many of the vet drugs, like Sucralfate are not so good for dogs, and vets should more readily recommend alternatives like Slippery Elm............
Olesia, was owned by Izzy, a 35lb Spanish Water Dog (SWD), Diagnosed at 1.5 years old - TLI results 1.. Izzy passed away on February 13, 2020 at 15 years old. She lived with EPI for 13+1/2 years. It was because of Izzy that Epi4Dogs was started... she was the inspiration. May her legacy of helping others with EPI continue for as long as needed.........
