Newly Diagnosed Corgi w/EPI - Suggestions?
Re: Newly Diagnosed Corgi w/EPI - Suggestions?
I couldn't agree more on Opal's Vet..... she has been WONDERFUL in understanding Opal's diagnosis and has been open to research and suggestions. She definitely is a fantastic Veterinarian!
Great to know about pea as an ingredient to stay away from. Ordering her food online is no trouble and I will certainly do some research on more brands - specifically ones that do not have peas in them. Thanks for the tip!!! Oh no need to send me some kibble , you are too kind... thank you for that offer. I am more than used to buying her a small bag of food to see if she responds well to it or not at this point lol. So I am open to suggestions on food types when we get there.
I have noticed that picking Opal up she feels so much heavier than she has her whole life. I always just thought she was the runt of the litter, she ate towards the higher end of the amount of kibble along with what I thought was the best brand of dog food (blue buffalo) and she's always went to the vet regularly. Even though EPI has been very challenging she's fought thru the hard times and I feel like she looks better than she has ever has before. Now to just get everything dialed in.... but I feel like we are on the right path.
I really appreciate all of the suggestions and help from everyone on here. Between this blog, our vet, and research I've done Opal is almost there it seems!
I'm doing my best to respond to others posts but I just don't have the knowledge that you all do yet lol! This has been such a wonderful community in helping Opal get back to a healthy and happy dog.
So thank you thank you thank you all again, truly.

Thank you
We just weighed her yesterday and she weighed 22.2 lbs which is more than she’s ever weighed! She was 19.8 a week and a half ago so that was such good news!
