Hi All!

I know I haven't been on in awhile, we have been busy! Opal is doing FABULOUS. She went to the vet for a weight check last week and she weighed 27.2lbs. WOOOOO HOOOOOOO!

We are trying to switch her food right now, and she is eating about 50/50 of her old stuff and the new food. Stools are still good. So we are very slowly proceeding with caution on that. However Opal has gained weight like crazy and is happy as a clam :) She's weighed far more than she ever did.

Thank you all again SO MUCH for your guidance.

What a wonderful update! I'm so glad to hear she is doing so well! It's so exciting when it all comes together and you see your pup return to acting like themselves again. Great job!
Elisabeth

Riley is a 10 year old Labradoodle. She was diagnosed with EPI in 2014.
She currently eats Taste of the Wild, I cup in the morning, 2 cups in the evening, each meal with 1 Wonderlabs B12 sprinkled over her dinner. Enzymes are EnzymeDiane, 1 tsp per cup of food, mixed in home made bone broth. No other supplements or meds at this time.
Riley currently weighs about 44 pounds, which is pretty heavy for her.

Thanks everyone! You all helped steer us towards what might work for Opal once she was diagnosed with EPI so I truly appreciate all you've done for us. Figured I'd share the good news that Opal is doing well :)

In regards to the food type inquiry. - she had been eating Hill's Prescription Diet i/d Digestive Care Chicken Flavor Dry Dog Food:
https://www.chewy.com/hills-prescriptio ... iDEALw_wcB

and we are transitioning her to WholeHearted Grain Free Healthy Benefits Easy Digestion Potato and Egg Product Recipe Dry Dog Food: https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostor ... y-dog-food

So far so good, with the food transition. Opal was REALLY gas-y on the Hills food... it was terrible! Her poor little tummy just wasn't processing the ingredients. Since transitioning her to the new stuff that has subsided a bit which is making us all happier, lol.

Great update Bri! Hope the new food works.
Just checked out the food. Just out of curiosity does your pup have an issue with meat? My old jack did and this would have been great. He ate hard boiled eggs and macaroni.

She doesn't have meat issues, no. This brand only had the easy digestion formula in potato and egg recipe, otherwise there was a chicken and peas recipe - but I've heard EPI dogs don't process peas well! So we are staying away from that one!

Hoping this works out for her. She is used to eating chicken flavor but we wanted to get her away from the grains too. Her old food was not grain free so this new one will hopefully be a good option :)
