I always recommend a slow transition and my vet recommends two full weeks on new food to give the body time to fully adjust. Let us know how things go.
Madelon, owned by DOC. DOC dx EPI 5/2015 = TLI < .4, B12 406; Folate >24. DOC taught me so much and together we battled and overcame EPI, food sensitivies, environmental allergies but we lost the cancer battle. DOC was dx with hemangiosarcoma 5/2022 and crossed the rainbow bridge July 24, 2022. He is and always will be the love of my life, my soulmate, my heart dog.

Just went to new vet and she referred me to internal specialist says she doesn’t know for sure where to go with her. I asked for tylan she would not prescribe it. Gave me basically a probiotic instead after I insisted. And then insisted that she thinks her enzymes need to be switched. I want to cry.

Well now that is no help, right? So you only saw the vet. Have you looked on our site to see if there is a recommended vet in your area? If none listed you might just ask as a post. Where are you located?

Here is the link to vets. Scroll down for New York maybe one is close:

I ended up taking Luna to the specialist as she is now down to 56 pounds. Her absolute lowest which she is loosing multiple pounds in days. It’s so scary. Her stools look okay tho that’s the odd part. But he is putting her on tylan and Panacur and wants to see how she does. So we will see

Thank you so much Ashley for letting us know you took Luna to a specialist. Keep us informed on how the tylan works. Did the vet suspect giardia or the likes with the Panacur?

He said he wanted to rule out any parasitic infection since her stool wasn’t tested so to try giving her that too. With the tylan. Do you let the food incubate with the enzymes first and then add the tylan once it’s ready or do u add it in all at once and let sit?

You do not need to incubate the tylan, only food.
The Tylan and Panacur can be given together. Seems I remember you mix Panacur with food?

Safiye and Siri---Welcome to the forum, from Pam & Tucker in FL!

My Tucker has anxiety, too, and I've often wondered if it was a result of the hunger he felt for all that time before he was diagnosed & treated.

Please start a new topic and tell us more about Siri. Do you have test results from when she was diagnosed with EPI? If so, please post them if you can. Any information about the kind of enzymes, as well as other meds she takes & her diet, will help us to advise you.

Thanks! --- Pam
Tucker was a shepherd/lab mix--- TLI 1.3, Folate 9.7, Cobalamin 666, Lipase 38. Took Diane's Enzymes 4 teaspoons/day, Wonderlabs B12 one capsule per day, and Tylan 1/16 teaspoon/ morning (to hold SID at bay). Taste of the Wild High Prairie, 1 1/2 cups/day, with a total of 4 cups of Fresh Pet. Stopped eating everything in sight, and went from 60 to 85 pounds! Tucker was my boyfriend, and my husband was OK with that. Tucker succumbed to hemangiosarcoma, but we cherished every day we had with that wonderful, beautiful boy. I will always, always miss my sweet big boy.
