Welcome EVERYONE!!!!

Post by Olesia711 » 12 Jul 2018, 21:29

Today, July 12, 2018 is our FIRST day on this new and improved website and and forum.

The Epi4Dogs Forum is here to help answer, to the best of our ability, any questions that you may have about EPI. We have been in existence for over 10 years and have assisted over 1.5 million individuals seeking help. This support group is live, 24/7 world-wide, solely managed by 100% volunteers.

We are very pleased with the wonderful work Craig, our Webmaster & Technical Guru, did in creating and setting up this new website, rolling it out and getting us up and running on this new Forum. Thank you Craig!!!!!!!!!!

I know there will be (1) a learning curve in figuring everything out (2) and "bugs" that we will have to fix.
Craig is working furiously behind the scenes connecting things that had to wait until we were live before they could be worked on. So please be patient with us.

In the meantime.... i am making a list for Craig. If you are having an issue, and have contacted myself or Madelon, and our suggestions are not working.... please feel free to email me at: olesia.kennedy@gmail.com and i will add your "issue" to the list that i will be sharing with Craig after the weekend. Hopefully we can address most of the issues in short order.

Thank you for your continued support of Epi4Dogs,
Olesia, Founder, Epi4Dogs
Olesia, was owned by Izzy, a 35lb Spanish Water Dog (SWD), Diagnosed at 1.5 years old - TLI results 1.. Izzy passed away on February 13, 2020 at 15 years old. She lived with EPI for 13+1/2 years. It was because of Izzy that Epi4Dogs was started... she was the inspiration. May her legacy of helping others with EPI continue for as long as needed.........

How exciting! Welcome everyone!
Elisabeth

Riley is a 10 year old Labradoodle. She was diagnosed with EPI in 2014.
She currently eats Taste of the Wild, I cup in the morning, 2 cups in the evening, each meal with 1 Wonderlabs B12 sprinkled over her dinner. Enzymes are EnzymeDiane, 1 tsp per cup of food, mixed in home made bone broth. No other supplements or meds at this time.
Riley currently weighs about 44 pounds, which is pretty heavy for her.

Hi Everyone. It's Johnny and I am back. I have been away from home here for a while. I decided to get away from the keyboard and go hands on with rescue again. I have a great friend in Maine and she runs a German Shepherd rescue. We have been busy here for almost two years. I do transports and also help where I can. Just recently back from El Paso Texas where we brought back a Mom and 7 little ones. We have just come across an EPI Female GSD in Florida who we re treating by protocol with Diane's, Maddy's and others help. Pup is responding already. TLI came back 0.9 so we know what has to come from here. Previous to testing for EPI the poop told me what was wrong with her. Two years old by guess and she weighed 38 pounds and had that typical yellow cow patty poop. Got her to a medical foster and got the foster up to speed on EPI. Going to get her her to Mass or Maine in a few week. Giving her time to adjust and get a bit stable before we move her. She was found in a Very remote area of woods with no homes for miles, and miles. She is safe and we are ready to treat her and find her a nice home. Hope i didn't ramble, just checking in. Johnny.

Hi Johnny!! Thank you so much for all you do with rescue and especially for helping this EPI baby. I know she's in good hands with your knowledge and experience with EPI. By the way, Doc sends a big kiss - he's still doing great on the food you recommended!!
Madelon, owned by DOC. DOC dx EPI 5/2015 = TLI < .4, B12 406; Folate >24. DOC taught me so much and together we battled and overcame EPI, food sensitivies, environmental allergies but we lost the cancer battle. DOC was dx with hemangiosarcoma 5/2022 and crossed the rainbow bridge July 24, 2022. He is and always will be the love of my life, my soulmate, my heart dog.

Great job on the new and improved site! I've only been on the old one for a short time and I am already impressed with the look and feel (and organization) of this one already. Looking forward to continuing to learn through this process as i'm only a month and a half in now.
Hi all, I'm Bill. Ace was diagnosed with EPI on 5/31/18. In January, 2018 he was at the vet for routine check-up and weighed in at 34 lbs. In May after fighting with weeks of poor poo, he weighed 24.6 lbs. On Saturday July 28th, Ace was diagnosed as diabetic.
2 meals per day. He receives 6 units Vetsulin injections twice daily with each meal.
1 cup Victor Multi pro with 1/2 cup ground chicken breast, 1/4 cup sweet potato, 1/4 fat free cottage cheese. 1/2 tsp Pantenex enzymes, incubated 20-30 minutes.
