Do vets use Pepcid or Zantac for acid reflux in cats?
Just looked:

Might be worth running by your vet.

Yes. We've begun giving her 1/4 tablet 10mg Pepcid once every twelve hours.
Montgomery was born 21 March 2012. He is a DSH orange tabby and white. Montgomery eats RCFHN Spayed/Neutered Kitten dry food and Royal Canin Ultra Light wet food. He is a catnip junkie who loves paper bags and his stuffed mouse, Ignatz. His Pank-Aid is put into capsules each day as he gets mouth ulcers if it is mixed into his food. He gets two size zero capsules with each meal and eats six times each day. He gets .5ml Ovol twice a day for his gas. He is an enormous 3.08kg and strong enough to give his veterinarian a hard time. He is smart as a whip, has the loudest purr in the universe, and is so, so loved.

My 8yo Great Dane had a few episodes of Pancreatitis and the last one started last year in June....she has been on a homemade diet for the past year -- very low fat. Each time I try to introduce a little oil, she vomits and loses her appetite. Vets no longer do lab work since she has been worse in the past and made it thru so, it's just about getting the fat down, Cerenia for nausea/vomiting and she get 40 mg Prilosec daily.

Years ago we did try the low fat prescription diet which she did fine on but now, she doesn't tolerated it at all. So, it's homemade food for her now.

She has never vomited to the extent that you have described in your cat. But, I have read that the symptoms of Pancreatitis can be different for each animal.

Well, she's back to the clinic to-morrow morning for x-rays. Yesterday she seemed to want to eat but stopped at actually tasting the food so we gave her a mertazopine (sp?). She ate. She did quite well. Then she drank like a fish and spent the night vomiting. To-day she won't eat on her own so she's been syringe-fed exclusively. So, she's quiet in the morning. I feed her early, then mid-morning. After the second she's a lot brighter. She gets fed again late afternoon. She'll be fed again with Montgomery later on to-night. I added nutritional yeast to her feed this morning to get some good B vitamins into her. So far, no vomiting. She isn't happy. I can poke and prod her guts and she doesn't flinch. Her temperature is normal. She doesn't mind being picked up. She wanted to be brushed last night and wanted attention to-day. I know someone who is an animal psychic and I'm beginning to feel tempted...
