So glad to do the happy poo dance with you. I remember exactly when (9 and 1/2 years ago) and where we did that dance.....suffice it to say that a flashlight was involved because it was pitch dark outside.......our neighbors have politely restrained themselves from commenting......although one man told us if there is reincarnation, he wants to come back as our Kolby! LOL

I hope some of the suggestions you've been given help with your allergies.

So I’m stressed. As you all know I started Creon and it was going reasonably well till I changed food to a grain free. August 17th we started changing gradually to Farmina chicken blend. $$$!! Still on two 10000 Creon waiting 10 minutes before feeding. Lyra is back to very loose stool! She is finished her second week of Tylan. 1/4 tsp per feeding. Slippery elm also.
I’m scared and don’t know what I should change. As I got to 100% grain free it seems she got worse. Do I need to wait a little?
I’m thinking of waiting 15 minutes befor feeding. Or....should I up the Creon. Or....should I wait to let her get used to the food? This blend has pumpkin. Could this be an issue?? Scream

How long was she good on 2 creon and old food before you started switching? If all was good before the food switch I might tend to go back to the old food. Don't remember how stable she was.

She wasn’t very stable but getting there. The vet advised to transition her to a complete grain free food while she was in tylosin. as what she was on had some grains. She felt it was easier while on an antibiotic. Stayed the new food slowly after 7 days of Tylan.

How much does she weigh.

She weighed 54.4 at the vet three weeks ago I will weigh her today. She should weigh about 57 lean to 60. She’s a small GSD.

I was thinking about the Tylan dose but it is right, 1/4 teaspoon morning and night.

Was the old food chicken based? Sometimes chicken doesn't set well.

Are you using slippery elm for acid reflux?

What does your vet say if you talked to him?

I would either slowly go back to the food that was working or try a different antibiotic.

2 weeks on Tylan would usually bring results.

Something needs tweaking. Pumpkin is not usually a problem.

Hi Jill, yes it was chicken based but chicken meal. This one is chicken. It was going well until I transitioned to the grain free. Couldn’t pumpkin go either way? Yes the Tylan was working. And the Creon seemed to be right.
One of my friends said to slowly go back yo the grain good she was on and see what happens. But in the meantime she’s dropping weight!! I’m so fed up! Poor Lyra

And yes I’m using half a teaspoon slippery elm

Yes, pumpkin can help diarrhea as well as provide fiber.
