Madelon, owned by DOC. DOC dx EPI 5/2015 = TLI < .4, B12 406; Folate >24. DOC taught me so much and together we battled and overcame EPI, food sensitivies, environmental allergies but we lost the cancer battle. DOC was dx with hemangiosarcoma 5/2022 and crossed the rainbow bridge July 24, 2022. He is and always will be the love of my life, my soulmate, my heart dog.

Thank you everyone! I will post an update for sure.
I am going to call today and see if we can get in sooner. He has been waking up with acid stomach again. Two night in a row. Despite 40mg of omzerapole at night. Lots of lip smacking, licking and he is even eating funny. You'd think he had a bad tooth, but I don't see anything wrong in his mouth.

Just a quick update. Tomorrow they are doing the endoscope and a colonoscopy with biopsies and we are going to have the PLI and TLI repeated.

I forget, was your first Tli fasted for 8 to 12 hours? If so there is no need to repeat it.

I am so glad that procedure is over with. For starters, I despise ketamine...Once we got past that wearing off Bear is doing good. Many biopsies taken with results to come some time next week.

Concerning to me was some bleeding in his esophagus. But DR said she didn't see any signs of acid damage. Not her exact words, just paraphrasing.
No blood in stomach and stomach looked good. Biopsied anyway to play safe.
Upper GI: jejunal inflammation
Lower GI: colon had hemorrhages and cobblestone appearance

He is on prednisone now, cerenia, tylosin, sucralfate.
Still giving B12 injection at home and omeprazole.

He hasn't woken me up at night to eat grass, so that's a good thing, but last night he woke me up to go pee. That's the prednisone I'm sure, with increased water intake.

Big struggle right now is food. He really needs a hydrolyzed diet for 6-8 weeks. Trying Purina HA today. Hoping he likes it.

Tracie,
Glad to hear Bear is doing fine after the procedure.

Sucralfate is tricky on when to give it. I was on it for 6 weeks and it was a pain lol.

Good luck with the hydrolyzed diet.
