Nate - TCC

Post by Judith » 23 Jul 2018, 13:52

I've dreaded posting this...

Nate was diagnosed with TCC of the bladder in April of this year. It is a type of cancer that does not respond well to chemo or radiation and due to the tumor's location in the trigone area of the bladder surgery is not an option.

He's on prednisolone and tramadol. He's still happy and eating normally despite passing blood every time he goes. I don't know how much time he has left but he'll be spoiled rotten

Please he him and his sister, Raymi in your thoughts
Nate and Raymi's mom
Nate 4 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi
EPI, typical Addison's disease and epilepsy
TLI 2.0 June 2016
Chemeyes enzyme capsules
Hydroxocobalamin injections weekly
0.5mg prednisolone daily for Addison's
Percorten-V/Zycortal injection every 28 days for Addison's
Zonisamide 2x for epilepsy

Raymi 6 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi
Allergic to chicken and turkey

Eats Canine Caviar Venison kibble 3x

Nate and Raymi happily live in Bogotá, Colombia and Dover, Delaware.

Judith, I am so sorry to read this. Many of us know how heartbreaking it is when we receive such a difficult diagnosis. We will keep you and Nate and Raymi in our hearts and prayers. With our bridge German Shepherd, Kip, we found that treasuring every moment we had with him and expressing our love and gratitude to him for all the gifts he had given us helped us so much during the transition.

Know that we are walking this difficult path with you.

Hugs,

Barb

My thoughts will be with you and your family.

Riley is a 10 year old Labradoodle. She was diagnosed with EPI in 2014.
She currently eats Taste of the Wild, I cup in the morning, 2 cups in the evening, each meal with 1 Wonderlabs B12 sprinkled over her dinner. Enzymes are EnzymeDiane, 1 tsp per cup of food, mixed in home made bone broth. No other supplements or meds at this time.
Riley currently weighs about 44 pounds, which is pretty heavy for her.

Hello Judith i am sorry the read about Nate and i know how hard it is to write information like that it happened to me a year ago ..but we are all here to support you wether its EPI or not .Hugs to all of you.
Maddie DX April 2011 along with low B12 she was feed with a low fibre food below 3% , fat was not restricted ( she wasnt good on pea based foods ) She initially had a course of B12 shots weekly over a period of 6 months and then we used the B12 pills from Chemeyes in the UK . We used Panzym and slowly had to increase the dose as she aged when she was first DX she was 23kg but she gained weight quickly and got back to 33 kg .
Maddie gained her angel wings in Jan 2018 at the age of 10 to a condition unrelated to EPI.

DOC taught me so much and together we battled and overcame EPI, food sensitivies, environmental allergies but we lost the cancer battle.
