Ate an ornament

Tucker ate a big styrofoam ball today; I heard him shredding one & took it away, but that's when I noticed the other one was gone. In his stomach, gone. My vet told me to give him pumpkin to push it through, so I laced it with enzymes & fed him his dinner shortly after. I'm hoping the massive amount of fiber doesn't mess things up, but doing nothing was not an option. If I had thought about it, I'd have made him throw up, instead, but it's too late now. I'll keep you all posted, but in the meantime, please send positive thoughts. We have worked so hard to put on his weight, and lately his poo has been great. Thanks---Pam

Oh Pam
they are a literal pain in the behind
if this doesnt appear I would seek vet advice again
my three shepherds ate everything between them
spectacles, credit cards , cheques through the post, books, the netting off pieces of meat, plastic bottles, etc etc, I spent many joyful times pulling something out of behinds !
I wish you luck

I mean, how good can styrofoam even taste??? Poo was orange, but firm. I didn't see any white styrofoam, though. The red, indestructible Kong treat holder he once ate took awhile to come out, so I'll keep looking. No trouble looking at poo, in this EPI world we are in. Thanks, y'all.---Pam

Great news! While searching for my grandson's Jake & the Pirates figurine, I found that second ornament under the coffee table. Woot! Tucker didn't eat a styrofoam ball, after all (he would have if he could have, though: he eats everything). The pumpkin actualy seemed to have firmed the poo a little, too. Hmmmm. Thanks for your help!---Pam

I'm just catching up......so glad you found the styrofoam ball...outside of Tucker.....'tis the season. Our Bridge German Shepherd would eat anything plastic....including the plastic around our razor blade shavers!! Honestly, I didn't think he would make it to age 3......But somehow, he knew what to chew and what not to. He lived to be 13.
