Will the pancreatic enzymes placed and moistened on food be OK to eat 3-6 hours later (traveling)? Or must it be used within a short time frame?

Thanks! Steve

Hi Steve,
Will it be stored in an ice chest on the travels?
Usually when you feed at home we recommend not letting incubated food set out after the dog has eaten as bacteria can grow in the moist conditions causing GI issues.
The only way to know if this will work for your pup is to try it and keep an eye on the pups poop.
You could also get some inexpensive plastic food storage containers and put kibble portions in it. Then just add enzyme ,water and incubate it.

Either way keep an eye on the poop.

Jill gave great advice - we don't recommend leaving the food sitting out that long because of possible bacteria. If you prepare it ahead of time and put in a cooler be sure to bring it to room temperature before feeding OR you could try serving cold just watch for the poops to see if they change. Probably the easiest would be to have everything measured out in baggies and then mix it while traveling.
