Fires in Australia

Post by Olesia711 » 16 Jan 2020, 22:41

Craig, the webmaster to this Epi4Dogs.com website, resides in Australia and has been on the front lines volunteering to fight the fires that are now ravaging Australia. Not only are the fires devastating to the Australian land, flora and people and their pets, but the animals are being burned alive and countless species are now bordering extinction. These fires are catastrophic and getting worse... they desperately need help.

If anyone wants to make a donation to help the animals that they are trying to save or have rescued, Craig highly recommended
https://www.savem.org.au/?fbclid=IwAR01 ... CLuo6_AZko
"Our Mission is to assess, triage, treat, shelter, reunite with owners or rehabilitate and return to habitat all species of animals post event."
"Our Operations teams will work to retrieve, triage, treat, shelter and return animals to their owners. Arrangements will be made for animals needing longer term veterinary treatment or rehabilitation; animals that are unidentified or animals whose owners cannot be identified or located."

Craig said this is a reputable registered charity, state and local govt endorsed, and that they’re doing amazing work where he just volunteered to help with the fires.

Thank you,
Olesia, Founder of Epi4Dogs
Olesia, was owned by Izzy, a 35lb Spanish Water Dog (SWD), Diagnosed at 1.5 years old - TLI results 1.. Izzy passed away on February 13, 2020 at 15 years old. She lived with EPI for 13+1/2 years. It was because of Izzy that Epi4Dogs was started... she was the inspiration. May her legacy of helping others with EPI continue for as long as needed.........

I'm sharing the link on my timeline. This is horrible...I heard a devasting report on NPR last weekend. Thanks, Craig, and thanks, Olesia.---PH
Tucker was a shepherd/lab mix--- TLI 1.3, Folate 9.7, Cobalamin 666, Lipase 38. Took Diane's Enzymes 4 teaspoons/day, Wonderlabs B12 one capsule per day, and Tylan 1/16 teaspoon/ morning (to hold SID at bay). Taste of the Wild High Prairie, 1 1/2 cups/day, with a total of 4 cups of Fresh Pet. Stopped eating everything in sight, and went from 60 to 85 pounds! Tucker was my boyfriend, and my husband was OK with that. Tucker succumbed to hemangiosarcoma, but we cherished every day we had with that wonderful, beautiful boy. I will always, always miss my sweet big boy.

Thanks Pam for sharing.... we REALLY appreciate it!

In the meantime, Craig, who designed our website and lives in AUS, is also a firefighter and and artist.... the GUARDIAN just published a series of his pictures regarding not of the the firemen taking care of the fires, but rather how the firemen are being taken care of while trying to manage this horrible catastrophe.

Thank you Craig for putting yourself in the front lines, battling this massive disaster, and for sharing with us, through your photography, how it really is for the firefighters while being deployed......
