Hi Joanne

You are still family and we are here for you

Your decision to see a GI specialist is probably the best way forward

However, they are there to get their kids through university !

Try grain free and maybe go for the Jean Dodds test

I have a friend who had a Newfoundland, he was massive, called Bear, anyway he became a pathetic creature he had wheals all over his skin, and patches of no hair at all and lost a massive amount of weight

He was going to be PTS as his owner and the vet had given up , he had spent thousands on him, I suggested as a last thought grain free, and b12 he lived another 2 years and regained all of his weight and cost, he was grain intollerant, and needed b12

So dont please disappear

Joanne, do keep us posted, please! And best of luck to you and Boone...maybe you can find a forum with discussions that will help you. Boone will be fine; he is loved. Take Care---Pam
Tucker was a shepherd/lab mix--- TLI 1.3, Folate 9.7, Cobalamin 666, Lipase 38. Took Diane's Enzymes 4 teaspoons/day, Wonderlabs B12 one capsule per day, and Tylan 1/16 teaspoon/ morning (to hold SID at bay). Taste of the Wild High Prairie, 1 1/2 cups/day, with a total of 4 cups of Fresh Pet. Stopped eating everything in sight, and went from 60 to 85 pounds! Tucker was my boyfriend, and my husband was OK with that. Tucker succumbed to hemangiosarcoma, but we cherished every day we had with that wonderful, beautiful boy. I will always, always miss my sweet big boy.

Joanne, Before Mickey was on dianes enzymes, he was on Total Zymes. It is plant based but you might want to see if they help the stools. Prozyme was another good plant enzyme. Pop in now and again.
