POSITIVE! As in ONE PINK LINE!!! And, while I am not "happy" to know Tucker definitely has EPI, I am happy to learn that the wonderful old school vet who helped figure it out was right, and that I have not been harming my Tuckaboo with enzymes for the past nine months. Thanks, everyone, especially you, Kellie!---Pam
Tucker was a shepherd/lab mix--- TLI 1.3, Folate 9.7, Cobalamin 666, Lipase 38. Took Diane's Enzymes 4 teaspoons/day, Wonderlabs B12 one capsule per day, and Tylan 1/16 teaspoon/ morning (to hold SID at bay). Taste of the Wild High Prairie, 1 1/2 cups/day, with a total of 4 cups of Fresh Pet. Stopped eating everything in sight, and went from 60 to 85 pounds! Tucker was my boyfriend, and my husband was OK with that. Tucker succumbed to hemangiosarcoma, but we cherished every day we had with that wonderful, beautiful boy. I will always, always miss my sweet big boy.

Well Dang! I was hoping Tucker was spared. But at least you got out in front of it! You know well how to deal with this and help your dog going forward. I believe Tucker is in good hands.
My vet called that test "junk science" and said that I wasted my money, and then sheepishly had to relent when Kohle was definetly confirmed positive from the CTLI results..which I had to push him to do ....I don't have that vet anymore.
Tucker is in good hands! I can tell you love your "boyfriend"

Glad you got the Schebo test - I did one two years ago with a rescue I volunteer with - I don't remember the exact instructions but thought it was pretty easy to use. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU DO THE TIMING EXACTLY RIGHT. The Schebo test is only accurate at RULING OUT EPI. In other words, if it indicates negative for EPI, then I would stop treating as if EPI and start looking again at other possibilities for the symptoms, like IBD, etc. If however it does not clearly indicate negative for EPI, then you need to start saving for the TLI test and have it run as soon as you can to be 100% sure it's EPI. We have had some cases where the Schebo test did not rule EPI out, however, the follow up TLI test did. Good luck and let us know the results - hope you don't spill anything - yuck!
Madelon, owned by DOC. DOC dx EPI 5/2015 = TLI < .4, B12 406; Folate >24. DOC taught me so much and together we battled and overcame EPI, food sensitivies, environmental allergies but we lost the cancer battle. DOC was dx with hemangiosarcoma 5/2022 and crossed the rainbow bridge July 24, 2022. He is and always will be the love of my life, my soulmate, my heart dog.

JILL---YES! 1/5 teason in two doses, so, I guess that's 1/10 at a time. MADELON---I got the one pink line, which indicates EPI...our usual routine has seen vast improvement in everything, and since following your lead with the food, we have tootsie roll turds a few times a day; we are so happy about that. We'll see about the test. My husband has a newly diagnosed heart condition, so extra money is not around right now. We are all fine, though, and tahnkful for our good fortune. ---Pam

at last you have a test result

the Schebo test is useful, but only has a 93 % reliability as aginst the cTLI which has 99%

stiil we all work with what we have

so moving on I hope to see some great results

well done

Jill/Jean/Madelon---Thank you so much for the help & the kind words, as always. Tucker is currently doing GREAT, and so we will continue this routine until that changes. Our fingers will be crossed that we are able to maintain the supplements and the excellent food, for all of this good boy's days. The other day, after he attacked our rescue dog who weighs 55 lbs less than him (the neighbor's pitbull was lunging at the other side of our privacy fence, so Tucker used our Little Beans as a surrogate, sigh), our vet said that Tucker certainly is a high maintenance dog, and he is. But, he is worth every minute of the energy we use on him. What else is there to do, really? (right)Take care, everybody---Pam
