Happy Birthday to My Callie

Post by Sally » 01 Jul 2020, 09:08

Just wanted to post her birthday announcement. She is 15 YO this week! We got her EPI/SIBO diagnosis 13 years ago - I never thought she would make it this long. She's old now, arthritic, somewhat smelly and tired, but still wagging her tail and snuggling beside me. Don't know how much longer she will be with me, but for now, she seems happy which makes me happy.

For those struggling with a new diagnosis, there is hope that when you find the right combo of food/enzymes/B12, etc., your dog can stabilize. It's challenging, I know, and I also know not all dogs will make it, but don't give up that hope.

Happy Birthday, Callie!! It's wonderful to hear that she is still doing so well. My Pixie turned 14 in April. She also has arthritis as her biggest concern at the moment, along with being somewhat smelly and tired  but she is happy and her EPI is easy to manage. I hope she is around next April for her 15th!

Olesia, was owned by Izzy, a 35lb Spanish Water Dog (SWD), Diagnosed at 1.5 years old - TLI results 1.. Izzy passed away on February 13, 2020 at 15 years old. She lived with EPI for 13+1/2 years. It was because of Izzy that Epi4Dogs was started... she was the inspiration. May her legacy of helping others with EPI continue for as long as needed.........

Happy Birthday to your beautiful girl Callie!!!

You have given me hope that it is possible to have a healthy dog again. Enjoy your puppy hugs :D
Dog mum to English Staffy Winston 3 (born with hereditary cataracts) and Maltese Shih Tzu Daisy 2 (so far healthy but a slight underbite) looks super cute :D

Our beautiful boy staffy x jack russell Arnie 2006-2017. Believe he had EPI and we watched him waste away. Tried everything to save him. English x American Staffy Holly 2008 -2020.

Will spread the word about EPI and SIBO and help another dogs live a long healthy life.

My congratulations!
It is a big date for you and for her. You gave her such a good life! Not every healthy dog lives so long time.
