Much improved

I increased Xieri’s enzyme to 1 tsp per cup of food. I had been giving her 1 tsp per meal according to the vets instructions. I think that has really made the difference. For the last few days she has had normal stool. Amazing really. She used to go many times a day. It’s still early to say the diarrhea is over but, I am really encouraged. Thanks for all the helpful information!

Hi Pam,

SOOOooo glad you have seen improvement!! The starting dose is best started at 1 tsp per 1 cup of food ... We have gone round and round with multiple enzymes companies on this... explaining to them that a "one size fits all instructions such as 1 tsp per meal is ridiculous and that you cannot receive appropriate results by feeding a chihuahua the same amount of enzymes as you give a GSD... like duh??!!! Over the years, some enzyme companies have corrected the dose instructions, while others have not.... so we just continue to tell folks, start with 1 tsp per 1 cup of food/kibble (or 1/2 tsp to 3/4 tsp per cup of wet food) .

Thanks for letting us know i i hope you continue to see success!
Olesia, was owned by Izzy, a 35lb Spanish Water Dog (SWD), Diagnosed at 1.5 years old - TLI results 1.. Izzy passed away on February 13, 2020 at 15 years old. She lived with EPI for 13+1/2 years. It was because of Izzy that Epi4Dogs was started... she was the inspiration. May her legacy of helping others with EPI continue for as long as needed.........

Hi Pam,

I'm so glad you are seeing good results after you changed the dosage to 1 tsp. per cup. It does make a difference. Glad you are seeing it.

Madelon, owned by DOC. DOC dx EPI 5/2015 = TLI < .4, B12 406; Folate >24. DOC taught me so much and together we battled and overcame EPI, food sensitivies, environmental allergies but we lost the cancer battle. DOC was dx with hemangiosarcoma 5/2022 and crossed the rainbow bridge July 24, 2022. He is and always will be the love of my life, my soulmate, my heart dog.
