Advice please
Re: Advice please
I can empathise with both his conditions, but with two dogs. Marti had epi for eight years, no kidney problems. I’ve not heard of other springers with epi, is yours a show type or worker? I’m hoping they aren’t related!
Bobby , a cocker, non-epi, had a a kidney condition. Has the vet put a name to what is wrong? Have they suggested an appropriate diet, because some kidney diets are heavy on rice and pasta which can clash with epi. What do you normally feed?

Springer spaniel Marti had Epi, PLE , MMM just to confuse me. She lived till 12yrs, chubby and happy despite eight years of epi.
Capsule enzymes suited her best. B12 supplements made her into a new dog!
After a cocker with PLN kidney disease, I now have two healthy rescues, a lively, suicidal , small ginger terrier, adopted with pneumonia, and gum disease needing nearly all his teeth out, and a fluffy grey toy poodle/terrier from Greece.

Re: Advice please
Hi was sold as a springer but we think hrs, got some pointer in him. We know now he was, from a puppy farm i keep spreading the word now about these horrid places. No vet said it was a cyst and suggested a specialist but we aren't insured so went with her next advise which was diet. She just said use mature food. Hes now put on 1.4 kilos on in 10 days which im so happy with. Taking him every week to get weighed. Still on antibiotics and vitamin b12 all good so far. Live in Lancashire

Please keep us posted!!!!!!!!!!
Olesia, was owned by Izzy, a 35lb Spanish Water Dog (SWD), Diagnosed at 1.5 years old - TLI results 1.. Izzy passed away on February 13, 2020 at 15 years old. She lived with EPI for 13+1/2 years. It was because of Izzy that Epi4Dogs was started... she was the inspiration. May her legacy of helping others with EPI continue for as long as needed.........

Re: Advice please
Another 2 kilos on hes now back up to his normal weight. Antibiotics nearly finished, i read somewhere on here about weaning off antibiotics rather than just stopping so thats what im doing, down to half tablet twice a day for the last few days. Fingers crossed. His poos are brilliant at the moment. Yeah..... Thanks all for caring Julie
