Sunshine Mills issued a voluntary recall of some of its products after being notified by distributor, Fleet Wholesale Supply Company, of potential contamination, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reports. The issue was identified by Minnesota Department of Agriculture after a sample food product sample was collected during routine surveillance and tested positive for Salmonella.
There have been no reports of illness or adverse reaction, FDA says.
The products identified were distributed online and in retail stores. They include:

Salmonella can cause illness and death in humans and animals, especially those who are very young, very old, or have weak immune systems. Pets do not always display symptoms when infected with the bacterium, but signs can include vomiting, diarrhea, fever, loss of appetite, and/or decreased activity level.
