Fun Dog "age" fact.......

Post by Olesia711 » 17 Jun 2022, 19:10

Know how we all think a dog's age is calculated as 7 dog years for every human year....... but according to more recent research, the AKC says it is more like the following, although it does vary depending on breed and size:

15 human years equals the first year of a medium-sized dog’s life.
Year two for a dog equals about nine years for a human.
And after that, each human year would be approximately five years for a dog.

Olesia, was owned by Izzy, a 35lb Spanish Water Dog (SWD), Diagnosed at 1.5 years old - TLI results 1.. Izzy passed away on February 13, 2020 at 15 years old. She lived with EPI for 13+1/2 years. It was because of Izzy that Epi4Dogs was started... she was the inspiration. May her legacy of helping others with EPI continue for as long as needed.........
