OXYCARE /OXYTETRACYCLINE DOSEAGE, MAINLY FOR UK AND EUROPE

Post by Jean » 29 Sep 2018, 05:16

tp://www.animalcare.co.uk/FileDepository/doc ... g_film.pdf

This page was too big to copy, and also too much information for us mortals

however this is the important bit

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

According to the UK Animal Care File instructions..... an initial dose of 50mg/kg bodyweight should be given, followed by

subsequent doses of 25mg/kg every 12 hours for 5 days. To be taken by

mouth at least one hour before or two hours after feeding.

hope this helps

I agree... this is very good info.... so much so, that i also uploaded this onto the SID Antiobitoic page.... cause yes we universally use Tylan.... BUT.... in the UK.... Oxytet is available and works very well ...most of the ti... the same as Tylan :)
Olesia, was owned by Izzy, a 35lb Spanish Water Dog (SWD), Diagnosed at 1.5 years old - TLI results 1.. Izzy passed away on February 13, 2020 at 15 years old. She lived with EPI for 13+1/2 years. It was because of Izzy that Epi4Dogs was started... she was the inspiration. May her legacy of helping others with EPI continue for as long as needed.........
