Happy 13th Birthday Kodi ! (SAD NEWS days later)

Post by Kodis Mom » 19 Aug 2023, 12:35

Miss Kodi is 13 today !! She was diagnosed at 11 months. EPI was fairly easy, and just became 'normal '. Enzyme Diane and Wonderlabs B12. Food was the most difficult till we figured out her allergies plus controlling her environmental allergies also. The last few weeks she started having seizures, but we are fighting along with her to get those controlled. We love you 😍!

Happy Birthday, Kodi! You are one gorgeous pup. Our Kip had seizures but once we found the right meds, he was well controlled. We wish the same for you. Happy, happy birthday.

Happy Birthday, Kodi! Love, Tucker---Your Partner-En-Zyme (He just made that up! He's always had a way with words!)
Tucker was a shepherd mix--- TLI 1.3, Folate 9.7, Cobalamin 666, Lipase 38. Diane's Enzymes 4 t/day, B12 1 capsule/day, and Tylan 1/16 teaspoon/day. Taste of the Wild High Prairie, 4 c/day. 60 to 85 pounds! Tucker succumbed to hemangiosarcoma Nov. 2023. I will always, always miss my sweet big boy.

Now there's Nina. 5 year old GSD. TLI 1.0 B12 323. We are still tweaking her routine, and getting lots of help from the forum. She is klutzy and goofy, and we love her dearly, too.

Sadly, Kodi passed away yesterday. Very recently she started having seizures. Although He mom, Dar called the mobile vet, Kodi passed away on her own before the vet arrived.... I think her body was just too tired.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Dar and the family... Kodi was a treasured family member and will be very much missed. I hope ALL the wonderful funny, sweet memories of Kodi sharing her life with this great family will forever bring a smile to them when they think of their time with Kodi...............

Sending many hugs and prayers... and God Speed sweet Kodi.................

My prayers are with you all during such a sad and difficult time.
Sadie is a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever ("Toller" for short). She eats Authority Grain Free Chicken & Pea kibble. To make sure she ingests the enzymes, we mix some No Sodium Chicken Broth and a small handful of meat - chicken, hamburger, pork - and stir it up with her dog food (she eats like a champ now!). With each meal she gets 5 scoops (1 1/4 tsp's) of Diane's Enzymes and a WonderLabs B-12 with Intrinsic factor. She gets 1 Proviable-DC probiotic per day. Diagnosed in September 2019 with EPI. She has some issues with dry skin we are dealing with now.
