Soft runny stool, too much enzymes,?
Soft runny stool, too much enzymes,?
Tonight Lizzie started a soft runny stool. I’ve been feeding her liquid food with enzymes mixed in. Today she wanted some dry food and I gave her enzymes in capsules with the food as I have a few times in the past. What I’m trying to figure out is, am I giving too much enzymes? My gut tells me this is the case. Any thoughts? This is the first time she has presented this kind of stool. The only other cause is her antibiotics which she has been taking for a while.
Re: Soft runny stool, too much enzymes,?
Yes..too much enzymes can result in runny poops. Are you keeping a journal? Sometimes it's best to not rock the boat until they have been stable for at least 3 months. Hope this helps, I have not reviewed your other posts.

She is our second GSD with EPI. It was not so scary this time ! And thank goodness for epi4dogs.com ! Kodi passed on August 25, 2023 just after her 13th birthday. Forever grateful to Olesia and epi4dogs. She live a long and adventurous life with EPI.

Sorry you're struggling to get things balanced.....
I'm with Jean, we need to know a little more about your routine before we can suggest if you are giving too much enzyme or not. If you could give us a little info about how much food and enzymes you give at each meal and how you are preparing we can better help you.

Riley is a 10 year old Labradoodle. She was diagnosed with EPI in 2014.
She currently eats Taste of the Wild, I cup in the morning, 2 cups in the evening, each meal with 1 Wonderlabs B12 sprinkled over her dinner. Enzymes are EnzymeDiane, 1 tsp per cup of food, mixed in home made bone broth. No other supplements or meds at this time.
Riley currently weighs about 44 pounds, which is pretty heavy for her.
