Samples Needed!!!!

Post by Olesia711 » 07 Feb 2024, 12:30

We are very pleased to announce that Epi4Dogs will be working with the University of Georgia geneticists, Dr. Leigh Anne Clark and Thais Fontenelle Carvalho Leme. They are looking in a new direction for the possible genetic cause of EPI.

If you have a pure-bred GSD (German Shepherd Dog) and are willing to participate. Please scan the QR Code in the message below. You can either just fill out the form or contact Thais directly. In either case, Thais hopes to eventually speak with everyone interested in participating.

I sent some blood from my dog to Clemson in late 2022. Anybody know if this is the same study or a different one?

Hi Doc,,

You might want to contact Thais directly (she is the intern that is working with Dr. Leigh Anne Clark, the geneticist) and ask her directly...

Thais's email is: [email protected]

SOmetimes they are able to use samples from another study if that sample is still valid..... so it is possible that your sample from 2022 could be used for this study..... or not..................... best to ask the researchers directly.
