I am very very very very very sorry to say, both of my poop-eating EPI dogs never stopped eating poop when they felt like it.
Though no longer a need, to make them feel nourished, it was, I guess, just a bad habit. I pick it up asap, scold when I catch Nina eating it, and just try to accept the fact that I can only do so much. Some say adding a bit of unsweetened pineapple to the food helps, as it tastes bad coming out the other end. I don't even want to know who figured that out.

Tucker was a shepherd mix--- TLI 1.3, Folate 9.7, Cobalamin 666, Lipase 38. Diane's Enzymes 4 t/day, B12 1 capsule/day, and Tylan 1/16 teaspoon/day. Taste of the Wild High Prairie, 4 c/day. 60 to 85 pounds! Tucker succumbed to hemangiosarcoma Nov. 2023. I will always, always miss my sweet big boy.

Chance was my 4 legged soul mate. My mobility assist service dog. Pure yellow Lab, 75 lbs. After struggling with weight all his life, finally dx with EPI. cTLI < 1, folate and B12 very low. Fed Raw. Maintained with Creon, Garden of Life probiotic and intermittent calcium bentonite clay. (Tylosin was a big nightmare for him)!
Rylee is Chance's successor; also pure Yellow/Fox red Lab. Started with symptoms at 8 weeks. At 6 months of age, also prescribed Creon due to suspected EPI (due to passing large amounts of undigested food). Currently suspected of blockages in pancreatic ducts. She is maintained VERY nicely on Creon and probiotics. Also raw fed.
Rylee is Chance's successor; also pure Yellow/Fox red Lab. Started with symptoms at 8 weeks. Eddie sometimes eats his poo. We think it's because he is trying to clean up after himself. If he has an accident in the house, he will try to bury it. If he can't bury it, he will eat it. We have never once got mad at him for accidents in the house and have no idea why he gets embarrassed and tries to clean it up.

The nutritionist I work with since TJs spleen removal told me it was a thiamin deficiency. She said buy a bottle of PURE brand B complex and split 1. capsule a day between TJ and Sadie sprinkled in 1 meal a day. Sadie was interested in TJs poop after spleen removal (but not before). Now she sniffs his poop and walks away. They are not Epi and weigh 18 and 15lbs.

Hey Everyone!
I want to give you all another update on foster dog Dillon.
Since I last posted, and after much work and a fair bit of drama, I'm happy to announce that Dillon was pulled from the shelter by a rescue!
Tails of the Unwanted, a rescue based in Charlotte (NC) was kind enough to give our boy a chance. He's still being fostered by Taylor, so to him nothing has changed, but this was a huge step toward keeping Dillon safe - Taylor is a rockstar!
He went to see a vet this week, who wasn't very knowledgeable on EPI, but we did get a blood sample and send it in for analysis. The results are below -- Our goober boy now weighs 52 lbs! His lowest weight on record was 43 lbs. We've switched his enzymes from Dyane to Pantenex because we felt that being able to purchase the enzymes on Amazon will make it easier for us to have them donated by the general public.
I want to thank everyone again for the support and guidance, and I'll keep updating Dillon's story. Hopefully the next update will be happy adoption news, as our funny man is still looking for a soft place to land <3
