Re: One Sick Little Tabby
Montgomery went to the veterinarian yesterday morning. He enjoyed the walk to the clinic. He has a soft carrier. He wore his sweater, his parka, and his new fuzzy yellow blanket and had a hot water bottle. He is harness-trained, so he is allowed to ride with his head out of the carrier while we walk. He sniffed everything. He's lost a bit of weight, which I expected. His temperature was normal. He urinated on the veterinarian and on the examination table and on himself. He was then subjected to the indignity of a bath, during which he attempted to climb the veterinarian, so she inadvertently got a bath, too. He is to take 1/4 of a 10mg Pepcid half an hour before breakfast each morning. He's supposed to be on sulcrete, too, but I don't know how to give this to him as it has to be two hours either side of food or medication, twice daily. He eats six times a day. I dunno...Anyhow, he is on the mend. To-day is his seventh birthday and he's getting a new Dream Curl and lots of catnip.
Montgomery was born 21 March 2012. He is a DSH orange tabby and white. Montgomery eats RCFHN Spayed/Neutered Kitten dry food and Royal Canin Ultra Light wet food. He is a catnip junkie who loves paper bags and his stuffed mouse, Ignatz. His Pank-Aid is put into capsules each day as he gets mouth ulcers if it is mixed into his food. He gets two size zero capsules with each meal and eats six times each day. He gets .5ml Ovol twice a day for his gas. He is an enormous 3.08kg and strong enough to give his veterinarian a hard time. He is smart as a whip, has the loudest purr in the universe, and is so, so loved.

we had to give Kara Ranitidine 30 mins before food for a long time as she was producing too muich acid
lets hope he does better, but it looks like he is on the way
and a HUGE HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Montgomery, THE DREAM CURL looks fab, and we all know how they love catnip

So glad for the good report. He sure did make the best of his birthday visit to the vet didn't he?
Happy Birthday Montgomery!
Happy Birthday Montgomery!

Riley is a 10 year old Labradoodle. She was diagnosed with EPI in 2014.
She currently eats Taste of the Wild, I cup in the morning, 2 cups in the evening, each meal with 1 Wonderlabs B12 sprinkled over her dinner. Enzymes are EnzymeDiane, 1 tsp per cup of food, mixed in home made bone broth. No other supplements or meds at this time.
Riley currently weighs about 44 pounds, which is pretty heavy for her.

Happy to hear the good update. Happy Birthday sweet Montgomery
Madelon, owned by DOC. DOC dx EPI 5/2015 = TLI < .4, B12 406; Folate >24. DOC taught me so much and together we battled and overcame EPI, food sensitivies, environmental allergies but we lost the cancer battle. DOC was dx with hemangiosarcoma 5/2022 and crossed the rainbow bridge July 24, 2022. He is and always will be the love of my life, my soulmate, my heart dog.

Re: One Sick Little Tabby
Thank you for all the birthday wishes - I've passed them on to the little ball of fuzz and he seems quite pleased. He has been exceptionally well since his visit to the clinic. He is using the litter box almost exclusively, his stool is formed, and he is into everything. Thanks for all your help and suggestions.
