thanks Jean for bringing this to everyone's attention :)
Olesia, was owned by Izzy, a 35lb Spanish Water Dog (SWD), Diagnosed at 1.5 years old - TLI results 1.. Izzy passed away on February 13, 2020 at 15 years old. She lived with EPI for 13+1/2 years. It was because of Izzy that Epi4Dogs was started... she was the inspiration. May her legacy of helping others with EPI continue for as long as needed.........

Thanks Jean. Don't panic if you don't find your vet on this list or a vet near you on this list. The best vet to help manage EPI is the vet that you trust and is willing to learn with you and have a partnership with you in managing EPI.
Madelon, owned by DOC. DOC dx EPI 5/2015 = TLI < .4, B12 406; Folate >24. DOC taught me so much and together we battled and overcame EPI, food sensitivies, environmental allergies but we lost the cancer battle. DOC was dx with hemangiosarcoma 5/2022 and crossed the rainbow bridge July 24, 2022. He is and always will be the love of my life, my soulmate, my heart dog.

Thanks Jean,
My current vet had not treated EPI before...just read in the textbooks about it. Kodi is our 2nd EPI dog. I knew the symptoms and prayed it was not EPI.
Well, after I 'nicely' demanded to have the Tli test done, he has learned all about it and to date has had 9 more cases. So my point is if a vet does not know much about it, but is willing to learn, they are a keeper !

Darlene
Kodi
B. 8/19/2010 Diagnosed at 11 months.
Kodi is now on Natures Logic turkey and/or pork kibble, 2 cups with 2 teaspoons of enzymes, 1/8 teaspoon of ground coriander, 1/16 teaspoon of cinnamon and ground fennel seed (for tummy upsets) twice a day, plus one one B12 capsule from Wonderlabs. She has been very stable and on occasion needs a dose ofTylan.
She is our second GSD with EPI. It was not so scary this time ! And thank goodness for epi4dogs.com ! 💝 Kodi passed on August 25, 2023 just after her 13th birthday.💝 Forever grateful to Olesia and epi4dogs. She live a long and adventurous life with EPI.

Darlene... thanks for sharing... that is SO WELL SAID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes i think the vets that know very little about EPI but once they have an EPI patient and then try to learn as much as they can about the condition turn out to be the best EPI vets. :)

Dar, we had the same with one of our vets, too young was the decision to have EPI

I told him you dont forget the smell of EPI poo, and that we had a cat with EPI in the 80's, , rolling of the eyes, so three days after the cTLI test he phones to tell me I was right

He listened after that

I was very fortunate as my vet had not treated an EPI dog but was aware of the symptoms and decided to test Doc when he was 3mos old based on symptoms and the fact that he was a GSD - she has since learned it affects all dogs. He was negative at the time but then after slowly losing weight when he was 10mos old she tested him AGAIN at 13mos old and he was positive. She has since learned how to treat EPI and actually looks to me for the most current information on managing EPI and EPI research - that is why I say the best vet isn't necessarily one that has treated EPI before - but one that is willing to be a partner with you and learn with you.

My view is that you need soneone who LISTENS, and doesnt dictate their knowledge

As those you who know me I loved my vet who has treated EPI since teh 80's, and has sadly retired, he is friends and studied at Liverpool University with David Williams who formulated the EPI cTLI test in the mid 80's and then went to USA

Small world is EPI
