New question/issue. As per my previous post from May, Zoe has been doing great. However, I think a few weeks ago, she ate some potting soil and probably some tall decorative grass (don't know what it's called) and then got diarrhea for about a week. I thought it would just pass after it was out of her system, but it didn't. Tried Slippery Elm, seemed to help some, but still had very mucousy gelatinous stools even when they were more formed. Figured that this triggered her SIB so I started the Tylan 3/8 teaspoon (she is about 90#) twice a day this Monday. She has now had six total doses. Her poops got better almost immediately. So now my question is.....Does she still need to complete a whole month of the Tylan at this dose, even if she got better so quickly? Advice appreciated. Thanks Sonja
My name is Sonja. Zoe is a 3 y/o female German Shepherd. Dx 8/30/18. Weighed 60 pounds at dx and now weighs 66.6 pounds (after 19 days of treatment). Sport Dog Food Whitefish formula 2 cups 2 times a day. Currently using Bio Case enzymes 1 7/8 teaspoon per 2 cups of food 2 times a day, but will be switching to Enzyme Diane's 6x when we run out. Add slightly less than 1/2 teaspoon Slippery Elm to each feeding (2x/day) and 1000 mg of B-12 PetFactor once a day added to dinner.

1/8 teas twice a day for a few days or 1/8 teas total per day for a few days? Thank you so much!

Can't speak for what Jean meant but....lol.
She might have meant lowering the dose from 3/8 teaspoon 2 times a day to 1/8 teas 2 times a day. And then monitor to make sure the poops stay good.
Interesting experience Zoe had!
