Breathing problems from enzyme

Post by Loki4114 » 17 Jul 2019, 18:53

I know this sounds crazy but since I have been feeding my dog panakare plus I have been having problems with my breathing. It has gotten so back that I have to see a specialist. Has anyone else had any respiratory systems. Thanks

I put Mickeys enzyme portion in capsules with a capsule filler. I used a dust/pollen mask during as I would get asthma. The mask worked for me.
My name is Jill and we live on the Hood Canal in Washington State. We currently have 2 Jack russells, TJ is 8 and Sadie is 2.

Mickey and his pancreatitis brought me to Epi4dogs.com site in 2012 to help manage it.
He lived from 6/99 - 8/2014

Mickey, Jack Russell. Chronic Pancreatitis. Dianes enzymes, 1/8t 3x/day with meals.

Thank u ...I was thinking I was going crazy. I will start wearing a mask. I found information about this n printed it out to show my vet. I was thinking maybe she would put him on plant enzymes. Dont know for sure but will speak to her on Thursday. Has anyone used plant enzymes?

On the Pancreved bottle, it says to be sure and not breathe in the powder.
Tucker was a shepherd/lab mix--- TLI 1.3, Folate 9.7, Cobalamin 666, Lipase 38. Took Diane's Enzymes 4 teaspoons/day, Wonderlabs B12 one capsule per day, and Tylan 1/16 teaspoon/ morning (to hold SID at bay). Taste of the Wild High Prairie, 1 1/2 cups/day, with a total of 4 cups of Fresh Pet. Stopped eating everything in sight, and went from 60 to 85 pounds! Tucker was my boyfriend, and my husband was OK with that. Tucker succumbed to hemangiosarcoma, but we cherished every day we had with that wonderful, beautiful boy. I will always, always miss my sweet big boy.

The plant enzymes are not usually strong enough for a pup who has a Tli low enough to be diagnosed EPI.
Every once in awhile an EPI can get by with them.

I do remember one lady years ago who was extremely sensitive and really did have problems breathing when she was handling the enzymes preparing her dog's meal.... she ended up wearing a mask while doing this and then she was fine. In general i don't think it is a problem with most people.... BUT...... if you are extra sensitive to the powder for whatever reason....and are having breathing problems that you think might be related to the enzymes, i would definitely try wearing a mask.
Olesia, was owned by Izzy, a 35lb Spanish Water Dog (SWD), Diagnosed at 1.5 years old - TLI results 1.. Izzy passed away on February 13, 2020 at 15 years old. She lived with EPI for 13+1/2 years. It was because of Izzy that Epi4Dogs was started... she was the inspiration. May her legacy of helping others with EPI continue for as long as needed.........

I'm sorry to put this here---I did leave a reply, and I think you are onto something. Be careful not to breathe in the powder.

***I apologize for leaving these questions here, but I am new, and I need help***I cannot figure out how to make a new post. I would also like to change my username & can't figure that out, either---Sorry! I am website & forum challenged, for sure.
