Noises

Post by Yogibear » 10 Feb 2020, 23:14

Just wondering if the noises my dog makes are normal. Sometimes they sound like they are coming from his stomach but a lot of times if sounds like they are coming from his throat. It sounds like a gurgling noise. Will this ever go away? Is it normal for epi dogs. He is on tylan for the SID currently.

noises from the belly are usually conected to SID , Can you confirm what dose Tylan you are giving as Tyln is weight of dog dosed and how many times per day

the noise from the throat, is this like a burp and does any flegm come up ?

My dog is 77 lbs and is on 1/4tsp twice a day of the tylan. He has only been on it since 1/28/2020. A couple weeks ago he would spit up water quite a bit. But now when I hear the gurgling sound he's usually panting and kinda just breathing normal..he doesn't really move like it is a burp..but maybe it is. The vet I'm seeing now told me to give him prilosec but I kinda wanted to wait it out to see if the tylan would help it.

Yes the noises you are hearing are likely from SID. Sometimes it can take a few weeks before the Tylan really kicks in - it's a mild antibiotic so it can take longer to work but it's much better on their system.
