Sudden change in poop…I’m worried

My dog Archie has had EPI for about a year now. We were in a great daily routine with his food. B12, enzymes, and a food with a crude fiber of 2.5%. His poop has been a great consistency for quite a while. I can’t even remember the last time he had diarrhea. He’s now a healthy 95 lbs, and he was thriving!!
But then just the other day I noticed his poop starting to get greasy, and oily again. He has full on diarrhea that eventually just turns to water after he poops twice in the AM.
I did have to feed him a different type of food for one day, due to running out and and being in a city that literally did not carry his food anywhere. I expected a bit of tummy upset, but this seems extreme as it’s now been a few days. (3 I believe)
He also seems to be quit whiny, he’s always whiny but it seems much worse and much more noticeable. He also has audible noises coming from his stomach.
He didn’t eat all his food this morning which could not be any weirder considering he usually scarfs his food down in minutes.
I’ve tried to think of what could be causing the upset…
- we were at the beach, and he was playing in the water probably causing him to ingest some salt water? Maybe that caused the upset?
- maybe the switch in food? Normally he doesn’t react for longer that a 24 hour period if for some reason he is given another food…
Vet told me it’s an “EPI flare up”…
Help
