Still spreading the word.

Though I’ve not been hands on with Epi for years, I’m still keen to talk to vets about it. Yesterday I was at our local agricultural country show. I noticed an official with a Vet badge, so I talked to him about epi. He was aware of it in GSDs, but not in other breeds, so I corrected him, and mentioned epi4dogs. He said that UK vets rarely see it now, due to responsible breeders being aware of it. Vets still need to be told that it is in any breed for reasons other than genetics, otherwise these dogs with gut issues will not be diagnosed.
Talking to just one vet may encourage him/her to do his own reading, and to discuss it with others in the group practise. We can only hope, and continue to spread the word.

Patsy!
Great to hear from you. Thank you for taking the time to enlighten those around you. It is nice when vets are approachable.

Hello Jill and Jean, epi4dogs introduced us to each other, years ago, when we were nervous on computers and initially timid of vets. Epi4dogs gave us the confidence to use the internet and to inform ourselves with knowledge to be able to persist with wanting the right treatment for our dogs (and cats). It toughens you up.
It disappoints me that some new members are still having difficulties, so it’s good they find us. The more people share experiences, the stronger and closer we get.

Patsy, it is so good to hear from you. I miss your insightful comments. You could always get to the heart of a matter quickly in your responses…..and inject humor while you were at it. Glad you are still spreading the word.
