Testosterone

I have a newly-diagnosed 3.5 year old intact male. He is responding very well to enzymes; however he has been acting very frisky with my two spayed females, trying to mount them constantly. He has always been a sensible dog, even around girls in heat, so this behaviour is out of character for him. Has anyone experienced a testosterone surge or other hormonal weirdness as either an effect of EPI or enzymes?

oh my...now THAT is interesting......for him, not for you :)

I have not heard of something like this as a reaction to the enzymes.... however... what does come to mind is that maybe since getting proper EPI treatment, he now feels better hence the humping and interest. Afterall... EPI can be in the "making" for months and month, even years... and that might explain why he was so "reasonable" (mellow)... maybe he really wasn't feeling that great before.........................

or i can be totally off-base here  ...i am honestly just throwing out a guess............

Hopefully someone else will chime in if they have any experience with this.
