thanks Jean... Excellent reminder that some of our dogs get traumatized by fireworks / 4th July celebrations..... PLEASE be careful around your dog!

I'll definitely try the exercise idea.

I just erased my rant on the effect fireworks have on dogs, other pets, wild horses, bison, gators...And the fact that veterans often have their PTSD triggered by the sound of them. Fireworks are here to stay, and I can only hope the current economic situation will cause my neighbors to think twice about spending money on them this year.

Thank you, Jean. A good reminder. So far, we have been lucky with Madison. She doesn't seem to react. Our poor Kip was a basket case with fireworks and thunder storms. We all suffered, but he most of all. I sympathize with those of you who have dogs sensitive to them.
