My dog is on tylan permanently. You will want to find the lowest effective dose. When you go to finish off this course, just start lowering the amount until the symptoms come back. My 17 pounds puppo gets 1/64 teaspoon twice a day.

i know you are probably trying to get away from multiple meals.... but sometimes....a smaller meal is what works.... so.... maybe try feeding a meal with ingredients that appear to work now.... even though it is for a short while.... and divvy it up into 3 meals instead of two meals a day... see if this is the answer... or not..........

The other thing i would look at (but only try these suggestions ONE_AT_A TIME) is to reduce the slippery elm. Slippery Elm is a prebiotic... but too much can also trigger loose stools.... so might be worth "trying" to reduce and see if THIS might be the underlying issue.

OR....

Sometimes it is the opposite... and a pinch MORE fiber is needed..... in which case, as another ONE_AT_A TIME thing to try is add a tsp of canned pumpkin.... see if this improves things or makes things worse.

AND/OR another thing to try is that your pup may have reached a point where it simply needs more enzymes.... have you tried this? Maybe 1/16 or 1/8 more of enzymes then what you usually will give?

Thank you.

We are feeding three times a day. I have found that a pinch more of enzymes keep the stool firmer.

She does not have loose stool although it gets a little soft with the SIBO, gut and stinky gas .

I will try the slippery elm as I have not tried to lower or raise that. Depending on what happens I will then try the pumpkin

you are very welcome.... it can be so frustrating trying to figure out what the triggers are.... the bad breath is, as you noted, from the gut..

Please keep us posted!
