Emergency Enzymes - Recommendations Needed!!

Post by jminchala12 » 22 Dec 2023, 09:27

Hello!
Unfortunately, FedEx seems to have our package on the wrong vehicle and it is just moving further away from me rather than closer.
My 85lb GSD has been doing great on Viokase-V powder 1 1/4 tsp per meal 3x a day.
We are down to just enough for 1 more meal worth of powder which would be for his lunch and I would need to have something to mix with his dinner tonight.
Can someone recommend what I can buy at The Vitamin Shoppe in the meantime and how much to give based on his current dosage?
Thank you so much! :)

what does it say on the bottle .. regarding the (1) content ingredients and (2) strength?

Once we know know this we should be able to help you with the dosing!
Olesia, was owned by Izzy, a 35lb Spanish Water Dog (SWD), Diagnosed at 1.5 years old - TLI results 1.. Izzy passed away on February 13, 2020 at 15 years old. She lived with EPI for 13+1/2 years. It was because of Izzy that Epi4Dogs was started... she was the inspiration. May her legacy of helping others with EPI continue for as long as needed.........

In a pinch, you can check if The Vitamin Shoppe has some digestive enzyme supplements. Look for ones with lipase, protease, and amylase - those are the key enzymes. Dosage might vary, but maybe start with a quarter or half of what he usually gets with the Viokase-V?
