Big picture it is SID (small intestinal dysbiosis) that seems to give us the most problems managing EPI..... actually just the EPI part alone is often fairly easy.

Yes, we have always found that it is SID that causes the setbacks. But we have to always be aware and alert that it could be something else. That's why the log/journal is so helpful.

Hi there. Sorry you are dealing with a set back. The first thing when I see weight loss is B12. You said at last check the B12 was good - can you tell us what the number was? Also are you supplementing B12? B12 is critical to properly managing EPI and they cannot maintain their B12 without supplementing. What vets consider "normal" is not high enough for EPI dogs - they need their B12 on the higher side of normal 600+. Most of us use WonderLabs Pet Factor B12 pills - very inexpensive and easy to administer. These pills contain intrinsic factor which helps with B12 absorption.
