Hi all! Been awhile since I've been on here I had to redo my registration! I guess that's good, right? Well, my girl Maui has been a stable EPI-er since she was 5. She's now 12 and has been diagnosed with diabetes. I guess I'm looking for some direction as to feeding changes and managing both at the same time. I feel like we are starting from scratch again...sigh. I kind of want to cry. Any help/advice is welcome as to what works for you and your pups. Thank you!

Hi Chris, good to hear from you. I have no experience with diabetes but someone should be here soon who does. Glad to hear you have had Epi under control.

Hi there. So glad you haven't had to be here in a while but so sorry you are now dealing with diabetes. I know Olesia (founder) always says to give the non-EPI condition, diabetes, preference over EPI. Here are two sites she also recommends
http://k9diabetes.com/ - dogs with Diabetes (mellitus).. however, Diabetes Insipidus is totally different so this is another good Diabetes reference that covers EVERYTHING
http://www.caninediabetes.org/easyreference.html
Also feel free to reach out to Olesia directly
[email protected] - she has a dog with diabetes and EPI.
