Glad you are trying the tylan first. I agree that is a good place to start.

Let us know how she does.

Hi Pam:

It's good to hear that. It's nice to know that this is normal for an EPI dog.

Thank you for taking the time to respond.

You & Tucker take care.

Lisa, I am not sure why Tuck goes that many times in a day, and I'm not sure it's normal. I have tried many variations on his routine, though, and I have decided to be happy with 4, since it used to be 12!

I guess it's nice to know you are not alone in the constant pickup game. It is for me!

Hey Pam:

Bella goes that many times too. They say things come in 3's! Yes, 4 is much better than 12! As long as she is happy and healthy - that's what matters to us.

Have a great weekend.

Kara used to go every hour without fail and sometimes more, she had no control whatever, I slept downstairs with her till we got her stable

and then maybe 3 times a day

Morning Jean:

Wow.....that's a lot......I remember in the beginning Sadie had chronic diarrhea for about 3 weeks. I finally told my vet that something was really wrong with her and we wanted a second opinion. We were referred to a specialist who knew what tests to do, got her diagnosis figured out within a week or so when the lab work came back and we had a firm diagnosis. What a long, scary haul that was!

She is down to going 3-4 times a day and it all is normal --- and for that we are thankful and happy!

Thank you for sharing your story. Hope all is well.

Prior to diagnosis, my Izzy also went about 12 times a day..... and you could tell just by looking at her expression that she was mortified.... Once we started Izzy on the enzymes, right food, ... and she had to take Tylan too, within a short time she became stable and she went anywhere between 2 to 3 times a days.... huge improvement from 12 times a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wonder if 12 times a day is the norm for untreated EPI???
